Summerlin's golf courses were built over more than three decades as the community itself grew, which is why they range so widely in style and access. Some, like the three at Sun City Summerlin, were built as amenities for a specific residential community and later opened to outside play. Others, like TPC Summerlin, were built specifically to host professional tournament golf and remain private.

Two of Nevada's Tournament Players Club courses sit within Summerlin, according to Summerlin's own golf page: TPC Summerlin, a private club, and TPC Las Vegas, which accepts outside play. The list below sorts each course by whether it currently accepts outside public play or is limited to members, since that distinction matters more to most buyers and visitors than any subjective ranking of the courses against each other. Designer, opening year, and course specs are included where available so the differences between courses are easy to compare directly.

• TPC Las Vegas: A Bobby Weed design with Raymond Floyd as consulting architect, par 71 and 7,016 yards from the longest tees. Accepts outside tee-time bookings, unlike its sister course TPC Summerlin.
• Red Rock Country Club, The Arroyo Course: An Arnold Palmer design that runs through terrain bordering Red Rock Canyon. Per the club's own site, the Arroyo Course is open to public play, distinct from Red Rock Country Club's private Mountain Course.
• Siena Golf Club: An 18-hole course designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, built to serve the guard-gated Siena community and also bookable by outside golfers.
• Palm Valley Golf Club: One of three Golf Summerlin courses at Sun City Summerlin, designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash, par 72 and roughly 6,824 yards. Open to residents and the public.
• Highland Falls Golf Club: The second of the three Golf Summerlin courses, also designed by Casper and Nash, an 18-hole layout built on rolling, elevated terrain. Open to residents and the public.
• Eagle Crest Golf Course: The third Golf Summerlin course, an 18-hole executive-length layout designed by Casper and Nash, par 60 and roughly 4,067 yards. Open to residents and the public.

• TPC Summerlin: A Bobby Weed design with Fuzzy Zoeller as playing consultant, par 72 and 7,243 yards, opened in 1991. Hosts the PGA TOUR's Shriners Children's Open every October, its annual PGA TOUR stop. Private, with public access generally limited to specific member or resort arrangements rather than standard tee-time booking.
• Red Rock Country Club, The Mountain Course: A second Arnold Palmer design at Red Rock Country Club, private and limited to club members.
• The Summit Club: An 18-hole Tom Fazio design, par 72 and roughly 7,459 yards, opened in 2017. Developed by Discovery Land Company in partnership with the Howard Hughes Corporation, it is a private club within a surrounding 555-acre residential community; membership terms and eligibility should be confirmed directly with the club.

Several Summerlin neighborhoods sit directly along these courses, which is part of why golf access shows up so often in conversations about the community. The Ridges, Red Rock Country Club, The Summit Club, and Siena are each built around the course carrying the same name, though owning a home in one of these neighborhoods does not by itself include club membership, course access, or tee-time privileges; those are separate arrangements set by the individual club. Lot location relative to the course can be one factor that affects how a specific property is marketed and priced, among others.

Buying into any guard-gated golf community also means buying into that community's HOA structure, and the reserve study behind it is worth understanding before making an offer, not after. Pricing and assessment structures can vary significantly even between two golf course neighborhoods that look similar from the street, since amenities, course access, and clubhouse membership terms differ by community. It is worth confirming these details for a specific listing rather than assuming they match a neighboring community.
